Three landscape architects and designers from India, an anthropologist and philosopher from Toronto, two southern French artists, neighbors, friends, meetings with the Sentier des Lauzes, Terre des Liens, and finally the first use made of the new multi-purpose annex…
From Amadebad and Mumbai, with somewhat anxious anticipation, came three Indian travellers who knew of France only Paris, so far: Aniket et Smruti Bagwhat http://www.landscapeindia.net and http://www.leaf-india.org/ with their friend and colleague, designer Samira Rathod http://www.srda.co/ from Mumbai.
Unfortunately, the day they arrived I lost my voice, but kind friends showed them around the art trails, etc. We then went to Provence where we met up with Sebastian Giorgis and Irene Bourre of Volubllis, for two days of visits. These pictures were taken in the gardens of Carmejane in Provence, with owner Frankie Coxe.
LATE APRIL, two local artists met at Rousselonge: Grégoire Edouard the photographer on his second visit, http://www.gregoireedouard.com and Marie-Noëlle Gonthier https://marienoellegonthier.wordpress.com/ who makes images from pressed leaves. Here is an assemblage made from leaves at Rousselonge, from above and below:

Meanwhile, STan Alaguillaume came from Marseille with a big square two-people desk! Wim Florquin redid the finish:
In May, Tania Murray Li and Victor Li came from Toronto, old friends, their SIXTH visit! I first met them in Halifax. Tania is a specialist (emeritus, with many awards) in geopolitics and came here after lecturing in Montpellier. Victor is a literature professor and philosopher. They spent three weeks here before continuing the lecture circuit in Oslo, Berlin, etc. You can see a sample of Tania’s work here https://taniamurrayli.wordpress.com/: Or here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iELdzQmMEnw and https://www.dukeupress.edu/lands-end
TAnia’s book Land’s End is being translated now into French. She told me about another which I have found highly original and impressive, available in English and in French: The Mushroom at the End of the World: Survival on the ruins of Capitalism. By Anna Tsing.
Meanwhile, the Annex took final shape, exteriors and now interiors…
And finally, garden and hillside evolve with the seasons…
